Description

AlfaTech played a pivotal role in transforming Citizen News, a historic 48,000-square-foot venue in the heart of Hollywood, California. This landmark space, initially constructed in 1931, is undergoing a comprehensive renovation to accommodate various amenities, including restaurants, lounges, private studios, and event spaces. Envisioned as a versatile destination for fashion shows, photo shoots, filming, concerts, awards shows, and private parties, Citizen News promises to be a vibrant hub of entertainment and hospitality in one of the world's most iconic neighborhoods.

Spanning 48,000 square feet across two stories and a basement, Citizen News represents a significant undertaking in revitalizing Hollywood's historic architecture. The project encompasses the adaptive reuse of a landmark concrete building, preserving its rich heritage while infusing it with modern amenities and functionality. The ground level has two distinct restaurants featuring commercial kitchens and display cooking areas, as well as new public restrooms. Meanwhile, the second level was transformed into a multi-function event space capable of accommodating up to 500 guests at maximum capacity. With its column-free layout and refurbished skylights, the space offers a seamless blend of historic charm and contemporary elegance.
