Description

AlfaTech provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and lighting design services for the renovation of Molex’s 108,600 SF facility in Fremont, CA. Molex, a subsidiary of Koch Industries and a global leader in electronic and fiber optic connectivity, sought to modernize the 1983-built building to align with their innovative, high-tech brand.

The project included a full interior renovation, transforming the space into an open, collaborative environment with cutting-edge amenities. Key features included:

  • Cleanrooms, pilot production lines, and dry labs designed for advanced research and manufacturing.

  • Modern office spaces, conference and training rooms, and a fitness center.

  • Employee-focused amenities like a lunchroom, patio, and sport court.

The exterior was equally upgraded with a striking new two-story lobby, façade enhancements, and extensive site improvements to create a dynamic and engaging campus.

AlfaTech’s design solutions prioritized energy efficiency, advanced systems integration, and functional zoning to support Molex’s R&D and operational needs while reflecting their progressive vision.
