Description

The Curtis School Collaborative Learning & Innovation Center was designed to bring arts, science, and technology programs together in one connected, purpose-built environment that supports hands-on, interdisciplinary learning. The project created modern, flexible learning spaces that encourage collaboration while supporting a wide range of academic and creative activities.

AlfaTech provided full MEP engineering for the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems tailored to the needs of contemporary educational environments. Systems were designed to support advanced classroom and lab functions while maintaining flexibility for future equipment changes and evolving program needs. Close coordination across disciplines played a key role in delivering an efficient, well-integrated design that supports both performance and long-term adaptability.

Highlights

  • The project brings multiple disciplines into a single, connected facility, encouraging collaboration and hands-on learning across arts, science, and technology programs.

  • MEP systems were designed to support modern classrooms and lab spaces without over-engineering, allowing flexibility in equipment selection, layout changes, and future growth.

  • The project required close collaboration across design teams to minimize conflicts and ensure that building systems aligned with architectural intent and program needs, resulting in a streamlined and reliable final design.
