Description
AlfaTech provided comprehensive MEP engineering services for the expansion of the existing X3 Fab facility at Maxim Integrated’s San Jose campus. The project included approximately 20,000 SF of additional cleanroom area within the current building footprint, with 9,000 SF developed as fully finished clean manufacturing space and the remaining balance left as shell space for future expansion. Upgrades to interior support areas and exterior utility infrastructure were included to accommodate the expanded production requirements. Designed to match the existing bay-and-chase configuration, the cleanroom meets stringent Class 1 bay and Class 1000 service chase standards. AlfaTech’s design also addressed complex code compliance needs due to changes in mixed-use occupancy and ensured all fire and building code requirements were met while increasing floor area capacity.
