Visa Global Headquarters at Mission Rock: Where Technology Meets Vision

AlfaTech delivered integrated engineering and technology design services—including MEP, fire protection, low voltage, audio-visual, smart building systems, and lighting—for Visa’s new Global Headquarters at Mission Rock Parcel G. The 13-story, 283,135-square-foot facility includes an additional 33,000 square feet of landscaped terraces and rooftop space, supporting a dynamic and collaborative workplace environment. While designed to accommodate multiple tenants with ground-level retail, the majority of the building is exclusively tailored to Visa’s operational and innovation needs.

OKTA, 100 First Street, 13th Floor

AlfaTech provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design services for tenant improvements at OKTA’s 13th-floor offices at 100 First Street. This innovative workspace features a makerspace, R&D lab, WFH demo store, indoor walking tracks, and a dynamic Employee Experience Center, all connected visually to Salesforce Park. The Common Floor showcases 13 themed spaces inspired by San Francisco’s neighborhoods, including a Ferry Building dining room, a Cable Car retail pop-up, a mini-golf course, and the Castro Theatre screening room. The space also highlights custom murals, art galleries, and flexible multi-functional areas like the boardroom, blending creativity and functionality.

Historic Transformation: HanaHaus Co-Working Space and Café

This adaptive reuse project transformed the 2-story historic Varsity Theater into a contemporary, efficient cafe and co-working space while preserving original architectural details. Project included lounges and open group working areas, focus rooms and meeting rooms, an event venue and other support spaces. A new IDF room and associated new HVAC cooling only system was required as well as a kitchen with extensive warm and serve capabilities for the new café. The design included all new lighting, lighting controls and power and an extensive reconfiguration of the fire sprinkler and fire alarm system.
